The Gesell Fútbol Club fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Gesell Fútbol Club's Luis Mitxaut looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ariel Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Mitxaut in the 31st minute of play. Santos Claude fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Bittor having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santos Claude was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Mitxaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes, Genaro Gregory mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gesell Fútbol Club and the AchaMar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, one of Gesell Fútbol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gesell Fútbol Club. When Silverio Colas fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AchaMar FC's protests and gave Silverio Colas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Silverio Colas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Mitxaut in the 69th minute of play forced AchaMar FC's goalkeeper Ariel Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Bittor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Socorro in the 80th minute of the match. Dionisio Bittor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Socorro in the 83rd minute of play. If Hermengildo Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Santo Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gesell Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Mino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute Luis Mitxaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Donzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, AchaMar FC's Ariel Donzel got control of the ball when Santo Mino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santos Claude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dionisio Bittor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gesell Fútbol Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
