With an extended leg and a bit of luck Placido Muno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Placido Muno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Deportivo Charrúa getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Oscar Cerilo hit a great ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Nunez Urbasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Charrúa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Urbasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Deportivo Charrúa's Fidel Torres fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 41 minutes into the game, Deportivo Charrúa's Fidel Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Muno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Saverio Chaime received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Elias Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sixto Ler ran back to his position shaking his head. Fidel Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Placido Muno made a huge save. When Deportivo Charrúa's Nunez Urbasa in 67 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Placido Muno guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Deportivo Charrúa getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Saturnino Checa hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Nunez Urbasa took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Placido Muno to make any attempt to save it. Nunez Urbasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Muno having to interfere. With a little luck, Butacó FC's Placido Muno got control of the ball when Fidel Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Charrúa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
