Tomás Gau struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Epifanio Quico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florentina. ETATE FC's Epifanio Quico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save ETATE FC from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Cleto Sabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Florentina booed when ETATE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Epifanio Quico made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Tomás Gau sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Eusebio Onofre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind ETATE FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Quico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulino Jesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cosme Delfino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Jesco made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Paulino Jesco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Cleto Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Florentina's goalkeeper Cosme Delfino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulino Jesco. Eusebio Onofre might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Delfino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Onofre ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, ETATE FC's Paulino Jesco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cosme Delfino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Tomás Gau came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Florentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Gau couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Baldomero Pitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Gau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Quico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ETATE FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
