Francisco Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Chabier in the 12th minute of the match. After 18 minutes of play, Quebrachito FC's Aquiles Manny made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evelio Jon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, Quebrachito FC's goalkeeper Francisco Frechoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Gaxan. In the 29th minute of the match Silvio Lehior shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Frechoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Francisco Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Chabier in the 30th minute of play. Leonardo Chabier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Frechoso was a little too slow when Leonardo Chabier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-1. 43 minutes into the game, Quebrachito FC's Feliberto Ledesma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evelio Jon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Chabier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaron Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Francisco Frechoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aquiles Manny came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Quebrachito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquiles Manny couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Guerau in the 76th minute of play forced Quebrachito FC's goalkeeper Francisco Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Aaron Gaxan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Chabier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Leonardo Chabier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matreros Fútbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2.
