In the 14th match minute, Nueve y Tres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Dominix to maneuver through the defense. After 15 minutes, Placido Cordarin made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nueve y Tres's Julio Ayala tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Nueve y Tres's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Venerando came free, but Julio Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Felipe Cilio hit a great ball. Nueve y Tres's Julio Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Che in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gualterio Venerando in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Ayala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boca Juniors's Constantino Jago suffered a concussion in the 36th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Nueve y Tres's Aquiles Dominix got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Aquiles Dominix off the ground. Aquiles Dominix hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Javier Che had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Ayala. Nueve y Tres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Javier Che was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Felipe Mikeldi's late challenge caught a Nueve y Tres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Mikeldi helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Primitivo Patrido was the one to do the kick off. Javier Che received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Julio Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Ado's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Ado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Nueve y Tres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Ado to maneuver through the defense. When Pascual Barros came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Barros couldn't finish the play. Pascual Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Ayala having to interfere. Nueve y Tres's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Javier Che scored to the left of an out of position Julio Ayala, making the score, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Nueve y Tres's zone, Felipe Mikeldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Ayala came out of the goal and Felipe Mikeldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Felipe Mikeldi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Ayala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Javier Che had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 78 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Venerando. In the 80th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Mikeldi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 83 minutes, Primitivo Patrido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueve y Tres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Patrido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Ayala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Mikeldi in the 89th minute. Julio Ayala made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Javier Che sent off a good shot on target. Julio Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Che in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Felipe Mikeldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boca Juniors played a much better game than Nueve y Tres and deserved their victory. The Nueve y Tres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
