After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, German Lauro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reñico's supporters rose to their feet, but German Lauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Cibran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 23 minutes, Amancio Telmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Telmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Isaio struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Cornelio Cibran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reñico. In the 36thth minute of the game Rigoberto Isaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's Cornelio Cibran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Reñico's Javier Perrando got control of the ball when Silverio Beti tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Silverio Beti came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Deportivo Tirate al Pasto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Beti couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Telmo in the 46th minute of play forced Reñico's goalkeeper Javier Perrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. German Lauro was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's Cornelio Cibran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Oliveiro in the 54th minute of play. Rigoberto Isaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Cornelio Cibran made a huge save. Javier Perrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Beti in the 61st minute of play. If German Lauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Isaio got free with Cornelio Cibran in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. German Lauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cornelio Cibran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Deportivo Tirate al Pasto getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Felix Abreu hit a great ball. In the 74th minute German Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cibran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's Felix Abreu got a free kick in the 75th minute. The corner ended in Cornelio Regis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's Cornelio Cibran did a great save. In the 80th minute German Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cibran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Beti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Perrando having to interfere. Javier Perrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Telmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's Silverio Beti got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Isaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Cibran having to interfere. Amancio Telmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deportivo Tirate al Pasto's Cornelio Cibran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Lauro in the 99th minute of play. The Reñico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
