Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Epifanio Dantel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ismael Paublo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rene Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ismael Paublo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Epifanio Dantel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rene Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ismael Paublo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Rene Ayala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Ayala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Paublo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Merlo Plate's zone, Epifanio Dantel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Paublo came out of the goal and Epifanio Dantel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Francesco in the 19th minute of play. Epifanio Dantel scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Paublo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Paublo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Epifanio Dantel in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Boca Juniors's Rene Ayala ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Paublo. Ismael Paublo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When Epifanio Dantel came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Dantel couldn't finish the play. Arnoldo Francesco's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Francesco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Merlo Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Francesco to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
In the 53rdth minute of the game Epifanio Dantel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merlo Plate's Ismael Paublo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Norberto Hegoi fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merlo Plate's protests and gave Norberto Hegoi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Norberto Hegoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Rene Ayala put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ismael Paublo. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Epifanio Dantel got a free kick in the 58th minute. Epifanio Dantel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Paublo having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Epifanio Dantel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Dantel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Boca Juniors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
