Spectators: 7234 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) Abelardo Edorta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the match, Deportivo Kagadores's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Edorta came free, but Ciro Gamus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Santurce booed when Deportivo Kagadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Amor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santurce's Abdelnasser Morceli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Frechoso in the 13th minute of play. Desiderio Frechoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes Deportivo Kagadores got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Gauargi. Ciro Gamus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Edorta's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Sixto Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelnasser Morceli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Frechoso in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Santurce's Abelardo Edorta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Gamus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdelnasser Morceli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Orain in the 43rd minute of play. When Omar Qwinton fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santurce's protests and gave Omar Qwinton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santurce getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Omar Qwinton hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Desiderio Frechoso made a kick off. Eduardo Orain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Abdelnasser Morceli made a huge save. After 55 played minutes Deportivo Kagadores got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Frechoso. Desiderio Frechoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelnasser Morceli having to interfere. A collision led to Deportivo Kagadores getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Sixto Abascal hit a great ball. Eduardo Orain in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdelnasser Morceli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abdelnasser Morceli made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Eduardo Orain sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Kagadores's Ernesto Amor got a free kick in the 68th minute. Valentin Michael took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciro Gamus. Deportivo Kagadores's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Edorta in the 71st minute of play forced Deportivo Kagadores's goalkeeper Ciro Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Edorta in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Gamus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elpidio Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute Desiderio Frechoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelnasser Morceli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Edorta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ciro Gamus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Edorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Gamus having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Santurce's Omar Qwinton got a free kick in the 90th minute. Eduardo Orain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Elpidio Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Deportivo Kagadores players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Santurce from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
