When Guaberto Corderun fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunchal's protests and gave Guaberto Corderun a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Rubio in the 7th minute of play forced Sunchal's goalkeeper Carlos Artizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Generoso Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Artizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sunchal's Carlos Artizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Goiz in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Eulalio Goiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Asamblea Dortmund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Carlos Artizar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eulalio Goiz went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Celso Ospetsu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 21st minute Generoso Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Artizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eulalio Goiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generoso Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Carlos Artizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Asamblea Dortmund's Eulalio Goiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Artizar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Carlos Artizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Goiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sunchal's zone, Eulalio Goiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Artizar came out of the goal and Eulalio Goiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Guaberto Corderun came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Sunchal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Corderun couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Lucio Constancio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sunchal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Guaberto Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Goiz to make the kick off. Eulalio Goiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Artizar having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Guaberto Corderun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hipolito Macario. Asamblea Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Corderun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 64th minute of the match, Generoso Rubio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Artizar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eulalio Goiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Artizar having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Generoso Rubio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Artizar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Carlos Artizar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eulalio Goiz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 79 minute of play. Hipolito Macario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Constancio in the 85th minute of play. Eulalio Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Eulalio Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asamblea Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eulalio Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Generoso Rubio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Asamblea Dortmund's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
