Eustacio Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Esiquio in the 20th minute of the match. Eustacio Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Esiquio in the 21st minute of play. The Pico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustacio Joey should have stopped the shot. After 41 played minutes AC Sandino got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Argoitz. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Timoteo Chap managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pico's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Chap was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Bibiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timoteo Chap struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Clodoveo Bibiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pico. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Frances to make the kick off. Iker Llorenc took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eustacio Joey. Pico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 57th minute, Eleuterio Vedillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Prospero Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Prospero Frances received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Clodoveo Bibiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
