Nestor Oroitz struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Abdelnasser Morceli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MilaYFritas FC. The supporters of MilaYFritas FC booed when Santurce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Oroitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelnasser Morceli having to interfere. In the 12th minute Nestor Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelnasser Morceli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, MilaYFritas FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Ioritz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. With a little luck, MilaYFritas FC's Celedonio Ioritz got control of the ball when Elpidio Francis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abdelnasser Morceli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Lordi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Francisco Azibar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MilaYFritas FC's Celedonio Ioritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Edorta in the 30th minute of play. Abdelnasser Morceli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Oroitz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Mauro Saturnin hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abelardo Edorta to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Francisco Azibar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdelnasser Morceli skillfully saved the ball. Francisco Azibar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdelnasser Morceli. Santurce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match Cristo Tino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celedonio Ioritz skillfully saved the ball. In the 58th match minute, MilaYFritas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Evis to maneuver through the defense. If Nestor Oroitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Nestor Oroitz came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the MilaYFritas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Oroitz couldn't finish the play. MilaYFritas FC's Nestor Oroitz got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Emiliano Artaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Fabian Vasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Oroitz in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelnasser Morceli saved Santurce from getting behind. If Elpidio Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abdelnasser Morceli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Oroitz in the 87th minute of play. Fernando Lordi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Abdelnasser Morceli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded MilaYFritas FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santurce.
