The supporters of Paunero AFC booed when NIBIRU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Montrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Paunero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Montrell came free, but Alfonso Chesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prudencio Montrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prudencio Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Chesus having to interfere. Elpidio Inge came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ruben Lambafoss could save by the left post. Saturnino Tipi charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saturnino Tipi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. NIBIRU's Prudencio Montrell got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Prudencio Montrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience held their breath when Prudencio Montrell in the 41st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Alfonso Chesus's left hand side. Alberigo Savini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfonso Chesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After taking down the ball on NIBIRU's corner Alejo Jon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfonso Chesus quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Montrell in the 55th minute of play forced Paunero AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Chesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Jurgi in the 58th minute of play forced NIBIRU's goalkeeper Ruben Lambafoss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Prudencio Montrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Llorenc succeeded in the game's 60th minute to get real power on a long shot . NIBIRU's Ruben Lambafoss hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! When Ermegildo Jurgi fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paunero AFC's protests and gave Ermegildo Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Paunero AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Jurgi to maneuver through the defense. When Aldo Garaile fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. NIBIRU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Savini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prudencio Montrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prudencio Montrell struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alfonso Chesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NIBIRU. When Alberigo Savini came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the NIBIRU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Savini couldn't finish the play. If Prudencio Montrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruben Lambafoss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Inge in the 96th minute of play. NIBIRU's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Paunero AFC had won, even though NIBIRU had held more of the ball.
