The attack was good, but when Robustiano Donio in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Esteve Barto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Donio in the 11th minute of play. Anibal Perfecto's late challenge caught a San Telmo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Perfecto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Club Atlético Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Perfecto to maneuver through the defense. Robustiano Donio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Robustiano Donio came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the San Telmo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Donio couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Belgrano's Anibal Perfecto got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Anibal Perfecto off the ground. In the 42nd minute, Anibal Perfecto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Donio in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Barto saved Club Atlético Belgrano from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, San Telmo's Santiago Vachon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteve Barto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sanduru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Abalos came out of the goal and Rogelio Vito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Vachon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Esteve Barto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robustiano Donio in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteve Barto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rogelio Vito came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Club Atlético Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Vito couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute Robustiano Donio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Barto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched San Telmo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
