But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Quinten couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in A. C. BOHEMIAN GONADAS's zone, Angel Ledesma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Tino came out of the goal and Angel Ledesma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Octavio Bonadona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bender Rodríguez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Bonadona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Angel Ledesma made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bender Rodríguez FC booed when A. C. BOHEMIAN GONADAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Mincho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Fulgencio Quirce got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baldomiro Matia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
