Spectators: 7092 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Segundo Goi started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Clodoveo Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Olympia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Clodoveo Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Domingos Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeronimo Llorian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Abeitia having to make a save. Javier Macias made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Esteve Urti sent off a good shot on target. Segundo Goi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Llorian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bernardo Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Orlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Jeronimo Llorian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Abeitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Segundo Goi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Macias came out of the goal and Segundo Goi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Macias made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Esteve Urti sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Amador Eladio hit a great ball. A collision led to Club Atlético Olympia getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Esteve Urti hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeronimo Llorian in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Abeitia saved Club Atlético Olympia from getting behind. Domingos Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bernardo Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segundo Goi struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Javier Macias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Olympia. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeronimo Llorian was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingos Orlan got free with Bernardo Abeitia in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Domingos Orlan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Orlan couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Esteve Urti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Macias came out of the goal and Esteve Urti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Claris to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Txanton didn't quite understand what happened when in the 77 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Club Atlético Olympia's Bernardo Abeitia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Olympia from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingos Orlan got free with Bernardo Abeitia in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Domingos Orlan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Abeitia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Luix in the 88th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Javier Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Abeitia having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeronimo Llorian in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Abeitia prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
