Club Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Abascal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Generoso Igon made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Larsenal's zone, Oscar Jusepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Oscar Jusepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Jusepe charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Jusepe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Club Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Jusepe. Enzo Valentine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Clis having to interfere. Herminio Bikendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Jusepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mauricio Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Jusepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alonzo Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Deportivo Larsenal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo Larsenal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Almagro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
