Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Palermo's goalkeeper Javier Macias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Laurendi. The supporters of Deportivo Chino Garce booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Ezkerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palermo's Edelmiro Ezkerra suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Santos Truylos hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Amador Claris, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Domingos Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Mateus having to interfere. Emanuel Laurendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Llorian hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Domingos Orlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Orlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Mateus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Palermo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Domingos Orlan made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Chino Garce's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amador Claris was slow to take the kick. During this time Palermo's players had a chance to rest. Amador Claris made a great header on Palermo's corner, it was just that Deportivo Chino Garce's Jose Mateus managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 57th match minute, Deportivo Chino Garce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Santos to maneuver through the defense. If Domingos Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Domingos Orlan came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Orlan couldn't finish the play. Palermo's Javier Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Guilabertus in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Jeronimo Llorian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Llorian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Mateus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jose Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Llorian in the 91st minute of play. Jeronimo Llorian did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Jose Mateus 94 minutes into the match.
