Gervasio Urbasa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Monaco's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Tartalo came free, but Anier Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Lando during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Danilo Lando hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Garuhapé AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ricardo Tartalo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Monaco's zone, Edgard Gonsalvo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Edgard Gonsalvo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Brais might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Henric. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Brais ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaston Henric took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Tome, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Garuhapé AFC's zone, Blas Brais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Henric came out of the goal and Blas Brais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The audience was convinced that Blas Brais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaston Henric was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Edgard Gonsalvo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Tartalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Garuhapé AFC were awarded a corner. Fulgencio Azeari went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Garuhapé AFC's Fulgencio Azeari to fire away a dangerous shot which Anier Barrionuevo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gaston Henric showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Brais in the 74th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Edgard Gonsalvo made a precise shot to the right of Anier Barrionuevo. Monaco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 86 minutes into the game, Vicente Balesio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garuhapé AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monaco the free kick. In the 86th minute, Vicente Balesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Edgard Gonsalvo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garuhapé AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Gonsalvo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anier Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Garuhapé AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Monaco had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
