After some careless play in the Soven FC defense, Ciro Endira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Miro. The Soven FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Miro should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute Carlos Fresco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Miro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Beila got free with Jose Bihar in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, Soven FC's Guaberto Beila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jose Bihar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Jerold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Soven FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unione Sportiva Lecce were winning 0-2.

Cirilo Oihan's late challenge caught a Unione Sportiva Lecce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cirilo Oihan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Ciro Endira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Miro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Unione Sportiva Lecce's zone, Guaberto Beila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Fresco got free with Dario Miro in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Bihar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Beila, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Soven FC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Beila. In the 96th match minute, Soven FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Naldo to maneuver through the defense. The Unione Sportiva Lecce players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
