Benigno Tipi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Tipi in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Vargas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Benigno Tipi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eugenio Fernanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benigno Tipi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Aquilino Dabi took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Norberto Feliz to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 30 minutes, Benigno Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pelongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Tipi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Benigno Tipi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anquincila's Paulo Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benigno Tipi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Paulo Vargas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Pelongo. Deportivo Pelongo's Eugenio Fernanco got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Anquincila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Ur to maneuver through the defense. Dario Iago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Benigno Tipi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anquincila's Paulo Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eugenio Fernanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Anquincila defense, Benigno Tipi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Vargas. The Anquincila fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Vargas should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benigno Tipi was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Norberto Feliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Fresco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute, Camilo Avellaneda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Vargas. The goal made the score 2-5. Benigno Tipi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Paulo Vargas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Anquincila's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benigno Tipi 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Pelongo's Eugenio Fernanco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Vargas. That made the score 2-7 after 78 minutes of play. With a little luck, Anquincila's Paulo Vargas got control of the ball when Benigno Tipi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Eugenio Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Tipi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Benigno Tipi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Tipi in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Vargas saved Anquincila from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Anquincila's goalkeeper Paulo Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benigno Tipi.
