Domingos Benat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Benigno Tipi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Domingos Benat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Camilo Avellaneda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Deportivo Pelongo booed when Estudiantes de Zarate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Tipi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domingos Benat having to make a save. Domingos Benat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Tipi's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pelongo's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Markel came free, but Norberto Feliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Tipi struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Domingos Benat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Pelongo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin George during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Estudiantes de Zarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin George to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Camilo Avellaneda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingos Benat had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Benigno Tipi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Benjamin Musko came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Deportivo Pelongo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Musko couldn't finish the play. Estudiantes de Zarate's Valentin George got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Edelmiro Llorienzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Feliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Domingos Benat managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Tipi in the 46th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Zarate's goalkeeper Domingos Benat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Tipi in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Benat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingos Benat came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi. But to his dismay, Benigno Tipi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gonzalo Abadie's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pelongo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Abadie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Gonzalo Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Benigno Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pelongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Tipi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Benat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Avellaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Marciano Beltxe's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pelongo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marciano Beltxe helped the player get up and apologised. 85 minutes into the game, one of Estudiantes de Zarate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 98 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pelongo's Benigno Tipi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingos Benat narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
