The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafael Poz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Argerich's Abelardo Havier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Bastian in the 12th minute of play. The Deportivo Martes fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Deportivo Martes's Angelino Bastian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18thth minute of the game Angelino Bastian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argerich's Abelardo Havier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Deportivo Martes's Angelino Bastian in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argerich's goalie prevented a goal. Leonel Erramu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abelardo Havier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelino Bastian's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Argerich's Abelardo Havier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Bastian in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Argerich's Isidro Adrio got a free kick in the 37th minute. Abelardo Havier was a little too slow when Ricardo Ponce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Emilio Frisco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelino Bastian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Angelino Bastian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argerich's Abelardo Havier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abelardo Havier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelino Bastian's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Abelardo Havier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Argerich's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Bastian came free, but Abelardo Havier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Deportivo Martes's Ricardo Ponce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Havier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelino Bastian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Argerich getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Emilio Frisco hit a great ball. Abelardo Havier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Bastian in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Bastian in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Havier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th match minute, Argerich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Frutos to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Argerich's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Erramu came free, but Abelardo Havier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Argerich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Ubarna to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Martes's Angelino Bastian got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelino Bastian in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Havier saved Argerich from getting behind. When Deportivo Martes's Angelino Bastian in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argerich's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute Angelino Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Havier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Argerich's Albano Cordarrell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Rafel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
