But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Kelemen couldn't finish the play. Alberto Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Bladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ermegildo Calisto made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bonifacio Kelemen sent off a good shot on target. Godfredo Bladi took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Virila. Alberto Virila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pascual Esiquio's late challenge caught a Tafí AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Esiquio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to La Ma getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Pascual Esiquio hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tafí AFC's Elpidio Mantzio tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tafí AFC's Alberto Virila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Cuartio in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Tafí AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Elpidio Mantzio hit a great ball. Alberto Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Ederono, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tafí AFC's zone, Roberto Cuartio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Virila came out of the goal and Roberto Cuartio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half La Ma were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Kelemen to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, La Ma's Roberto Cuartio got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 62nd minute Bonifacio Kelemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Calisto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, La Ma's Godfredo Bladi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Virila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 minutes Tafí AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vladimiro Ederono who took care of the corner kick. Ermegildo Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Oriche in the 89th minute of play. Roberto Cuartio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
