The audience thought a goal was coming when Prudencio Celio got free with Nicanor Ubarna in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arsenio Sesuldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Ixona in the 27th minute of the match. Arsenio Sesuldo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombres's Omar Ixona. But to his dismay, Omar Ixona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Nicanor Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Cordarin in the 32nd minute of the match. If Celso Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Llorenc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Sesuldo having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Rolando Llorenc made a precise shot to the right of Arsenio Sesuldo. C.A River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulises Cordarin was the one to do the kick off. Ulises Cordarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicanor Ubarna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulises Cordarin ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicanor Ubarna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Cordarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A River Plate's Aureliano Joey got a free kick in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Celso Calvino could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Arsenio Sesuldo however easily saved by the left post. In the 71st minute, Rolando Llorenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celso Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Colombres getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Omar Ixona hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ulises Cordarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicanor Ubarna was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. If Ulises Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Celio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Ubarna having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Ulises Cordarin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombres's Nicanor Ubarna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The C.A River Plate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Colombres's performance. The match ended with a win for Colombres.
