When Augusto Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DiablosRojos F.C's protests and gave Augusto Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, DiablosRojos F.C's Augusto Abarca got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes, Iturraspe FC's Ulises Llorienzo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santo Raymond came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iturraspe FC reached it. Leonardo Gauargi was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Santo Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Maraman in the 41st minute of play. DiablosRojos F.C's Santo Raymond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Maraman in the 43rd minute of play. During the 43rd minute of the match Augusto Abarca completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Augusto Abarca a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 44 played minutes DiablosRojos F.C got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Abarca. In the 45th minute, Patricio Maraman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Enzo Onbera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Santo Raymond made a huge save. Enzo Onbera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Raymond having to interfere. Enzo Onbera struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Santo Raymond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iturraspe FC.
