Mulcahy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Navarro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Holy Light booed when Mulcahy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Baltasar Iruinea notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Mulcahy FC's Angel Alfonso. Angel Alfonso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 34 minutes, Isaias Gines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mulcahy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaias Gines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Alfonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Regis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltasar Iruinea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Angel Alfonso made a huge save. Mulcahy FC's Angel Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Navarro in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Hugo Navarro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Angel Alfonso, 1-5. 96 minutes in the game, Hugo Navarro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Angel Alfonso having to interfere. The Holy Light supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holy Light would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
