In the 22nd minute Prudencio Luken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético La Plata's Fernando Jordy got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Amaya in the 27th minute of play forced catalina2008's goalkeeper Laureano Vincent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Amaya in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Vincent saved catalina2008 from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Israel Jerico put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Laureano Vincent. If Nestor Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club Atlético La Plata fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Club Atlético La Plata's Nestor Amaya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Jimeno Dimo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Club Atlético La Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Dimo couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Nestor Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Israel Jerico in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Vincent saved catalina2008 from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Chorache made a kick off. Prudencio Luken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Laureano Vincent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in catalina2008's zone, Nestor Amaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Vincent came out of the goal and Nestor Amaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 62 in the game by Israel Jerico from a close distance when the talented Laureano Vincent managed to make a qualified save. catalina2008's players were relieved. 66 minutes into the game, catalina2008's Mario Chorache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Geleberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Hilario Enetz's late challenge caught a Club Atlético La Plata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Enetz helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes catalina2008 got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Enetz. Club Atlético La Plata's Prudencio Luken shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Laureano Vincent but with some difficulty. Israel Jerico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Amaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Laureano Vincent made a huge save. In the 78th match minute, Club Atlético La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. If Nestor Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Israel Jerico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laureano Vincent having to make a save. In the 87th minute Israel Jerico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Amaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laureano Vincent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Amaya in the 94th minute of the match. Club Atlético La Plata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
