If Rafael Casomiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fausto Su fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardenales RC's protests and gave Fausto Su a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Cardenales RC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Su. Cardenales RC's Mauricio Estevez got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Casomiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Baumann having to interfere. Alejandro Banegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Isauro's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Cardenales RC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Estevez. Steve Baumann made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Rafael Casomiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 26thth minute of the game Mauricio Estevez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knights Templar's Alejandro Banegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Knights Templar's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Jerico came free, but Alejandro Banegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Isauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alejandro Banegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Knights Templar's Alejandro Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Estevez in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Cardenales RC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Maxin. Rafael Casomiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Steve Baumann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Knights Templar booed when Cardenales RC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Maxin didn't get a good kick on the ball.

After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Mauricio Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardenales RC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Estevez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Banegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafael Casomiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 57 played minutes Cardenales RC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Maxin. In the 58th minute, Carmelo Jerrold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Knights Templar's Rafael Casomiro managed to work through Cardenales RC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rafael Casomiro dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of Knights Templar booed when Cardenales RC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Maxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Knights Templar's Marco Hanot couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cardenales RC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Jerrold in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve Baumann saved Cardenales RC from getting behind. Mauricio Estevez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejandro Banegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Alejandro Banegas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Knights Templar getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Victorino Astigar hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Isauro got free with Alejandro Banegas in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Knights Templar's Primitivo Goito got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Lucjan Pasterski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Estevez in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejandro Banegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alejandro Banegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Isauro in the 91st minute. If Celso Isauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Cardenales RC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Knights Templar throughout the match.
