Raul Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Estevez in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Estevez in the 12th minute of play forced El sol negro's goalkeeper Raul Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Cardenales RC's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Maura came free, but Steve Baumann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, El sol negro's Alfonso Teodor got a free kick in the 14th minute. Celso Isauro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Mauricio Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Raul Estavan made a huge save. Raul Estavan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Isauro in the 21st minute. Roque Maura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Steve Baumann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cardenales RC's Steve Baumann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Maura in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Estevez in the 33rd minute of play forced El sol negro's goalkeeper Raul Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Estevez in the 34th minute of play. Raul Estavan was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Enzo Jerico capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enzo Jerico really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Celso Isauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardenales RC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Isauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Estevez to make the kick off. Mauricio Estevez struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Raul Estavan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardenales RC. Severo Bartoli's late challenge caught a Cardenales RC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severo Bartoli helped the player get up and apologised. 61 minutes into the game, Mauricio Estevez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Raul Estavan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in El sol negro's zone, Mauricio Estevez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Estavan came out of the goal and Mauricio Estevez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to El sol negro getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Salvador Galo hit a great ball. Mauricio Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Isauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Raul Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, El sol negro's Fausto Merexildo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steve Baumann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raul Estavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Isauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Estevez in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Estevez in the 82nd minute of play forced El sol negro's goalkeeper Raul Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Salvador Galo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El sol negro's protests and gave Salvador Galo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El sol negro getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Salvador Galo hit a great ball. Cardenales RC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucjan Pasterski in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Cardenales RC's goalkeeper Steve Baumann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Merexildo. In the 88th match minute, Cardenales RC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Maxin to maneuver through the defense. Mauricio Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Estavan having to interfere. If Celso Isauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes El sol negro got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Ubelteso. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Mauricio Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardenales RC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Estevez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Estavan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Cardenales RC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
