Spectators: 7284 (Terracing: 5465, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roque Maura started the match with the kick off. Raul Estavan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Sanduru's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. When Vinicio Ganix came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Ganix couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Teobaldo Sanduru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raul Estavan. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Teobaldo Sanduru scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raul Estavan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of El sol negro booed when Douglas Haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Ganix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Musko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Berdoi. Douglas Haig's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Fausto Merexildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El sol negro's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Merexildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Berdoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Estavan made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Vinicio Ganix sent off a good shot on target. Teobaldo Sanduru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Raul Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El sol negro's Raul Estavan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save El sol negro from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Salvador Galo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Raul Estavan managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Douglas Haig's Teobaldo Sanduru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Douglas Haig booed when El sol negro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Galo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Sanduru to strike the kick off in the second half. Teobaldo Sanduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's Emiliano Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Estavan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raul Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Rios in the 56th minute of play. After 58 played minutes, Douglas Haig's Leopoldo Chorache shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raul Estavan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Douglas Haig reached it. Douglas Haig's Emiliano Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Teobaldo Sanduru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, El sol negro's Salvador Galo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Elvio Geofredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Estavan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El sol negro's zone, Teobaldo Sanduru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Estavan came out of the goal and Teobaldo Sanduru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Herminio Ubelteso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Simon Berdoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Merexildo. Teobaldo Sanduru struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Raul Estavan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. Emiliano Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Teobaldo Sanduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Merexildo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Douglas Haig reached it. When the referee ended the match the Douglas Haig players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
