Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cosme Lope got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Sanduru in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Venancio Arnalt saved Defensores del Bosque from getting behind. Douglas Haig's Vinicio Ganix got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Manuel Jacob fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores del Bosque's protests and gave Manuel Jacob a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Jacob hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Douglas Haig's Simon Berdoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Lope in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Vinicio Ganix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Arnalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Arnalt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Sanduru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Douglas Haig's Teobaldo Sanduru in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Defensores del Bosque's goalie prevented a goal. When Cosme Lope came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Defensores del Bosque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosme Lope couldn't finish the play. Douglas Haig's Emiliano Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosme Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Ganix hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes, Douglas Haig's Leopoldo Chorache shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Venancio Arnalt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Douglas Haig reached it. After having played for 43 minutes, Teobaldo Sanduru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Sanduru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Selmo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Venancio Arnalt. Defensores del Bosque's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Venancio Arnalt came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Douglas Haig's Vinicio Ganix. But to his dismay, Vinicio Ganix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Sanduru to strike the kick off in the second half. Baltasar Rosalio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Venancio Arnalt made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Teobaldo Sanduru sent off a good shot on target. Defensores del Bosque's Cosme Lope got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Douglas Haig's Simon Berdoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Gilabert in the 60th minute of play. Teobaldo Sanduru might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Arnalt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Sanduru ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's Teobaldo Sanduru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Arnalt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cosme Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Venancio Arnalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores del Bosque's goalkeeper Venancio Arnalt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Defensores del Bosque's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Sanduru came free, but Venancio Arnalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes Defensores del Bosque's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emiliano Rios who took care of the corner kick. Emiliano Rios made a great header on Douglas Haig's corner, it was just that Defensores del Bosque's Venancio Arnalt managed to reach the ball for a save. Vinicio Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Arnalt having to interfere. If Emiliano Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
