Gualterio Cordarrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Vasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Union LR's Saverio Maule played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Lidon in the 8th minute of play. Norberto Oxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Cordarrel having to interfere. Pascual Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gualterio Cordarrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pascual Vasco came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Union LR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Vasco couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Narciso Lidon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saverio Maule. Narciso Lidon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Saverio Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 46 minutes, Francisco Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almafuerte AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Gumaro's late challenge caught a Union LR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Gumaro helped the player get up and apologised. After 48 played minutes Almafuerte AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Gumaro. Pascual Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Lidon to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Union LR's zone, Francisco Peli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Maule came out of the goal and Francisco Peli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Fresco hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match.
