Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hermengildo Canor made the kick off which started today's match. When Hermengildo Canor came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ambizurdos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Canor couldn't finish the play. Zeledon Tabor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Efren. After 31 played minutes Ambizurdos got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Romano. Ambizurdos's Marcial Silbestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Lehoi in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Romero in the 34th minute of play forced Ambizurdos's goalkeeper Marcial Silbestre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Silverio Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortugas's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Silbestre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hermengildo Canor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Remigio Bero's late challenge caught a Ambizurdos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Bero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Tortugas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Bero to maneuver through the defense.
