When Ruperto Gudesteo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Rafaela's protests and gave Ruperto Gudesteo a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Modesto Luken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Caton was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Leopoldo Caton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colón. Modesto Luken took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Caton. Leopoldo Caton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After some careless play in the CA Rafaela defense, Omar Jakue kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Caton. The CA Rafaela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Caton should have stopped the shot. Colón walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
