Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Sportivo Capucha's Alberto Padro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adrian Bikendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Leonel Frederik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Adrian Bikendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CA Rafaela's zone, Alberto Padro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Caton came out of the goal and Alberto Padro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pastor Etxeberri during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Capucha's Pastor Etxeberri got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Capucha's goalkeeper Leonel Frederik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cornelio Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Bikendi scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonel Frederik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornelio Diaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Frederik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Bikendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 39 minutes Sportivo Capucha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oscar Ramos who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on CA Rafaela's corner Oscar Ramos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonel Frederik quite easily take care of the ball. After 40 minutes, Wilfredo Cordarrel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Capucha and the CA Rafaela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Capucha's Wilfredo Cordarrel got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a little luck, CA Rafaela's Leopoldo Caton got control of the ball when Alberto Padro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Feliciano Ulizes charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliciano Ulizes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CA Rafaela getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Feliciano Ulizes hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Adrian Bikendi made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alberto Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Diaz struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Leonel Frederik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Rafaela. In the 65th match minute, CA Rafaela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Diaz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Padro in the 66th minute of play forced CA Rafaela's goalkeeper Leopoldo Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adrian Bikendi came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the CA Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Bikendi couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Wilfredo Cordarrel in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Ubaldo Chayo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Capucha's protests and gave Ubaldo Chayo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sportivo Capucha getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ubaldo Chayo hit a great ball. Cornelio Diaz struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Leonel Frederik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Rafaela. Adrian Bikendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th match minute, Sportivo Capucha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Turi to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Ubaldo Chayo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Caton skillfully saved the ball.
