Anastasio Gai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Licerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Aldo Licerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Primitivo Flor's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The supporters of Knights of Cydonia booed when Marucha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Gai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Knights of Cydonia's Inocencio Eate got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Laureano Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Emiliano Abechuco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Salomon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Abechuco in the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Primitivo Flor was the one to do the kick off. Primitivo Flor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Licerio having to make a save. After having played for 68 minutes, Emiliano Abechuco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knights of Cydonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Abechuco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inocencio Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Francisco Salomon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amancio Ubarna charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amancio Ubarna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Knights of Cydonia. Emiliano Abechuco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Francisco Salomon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Primitivo Flor might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aldo Licerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Flor ran back to his position shaking his head. Primitivo Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
