An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Valery in the 17th minute of play forced Puelo AFC's goalkeeper Donato Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Porfirio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Fortun, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Alvaro Fortun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barreal booed when Puelo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Cordaryal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Puelo AFC's goalkeeper Donato Gilabert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Donato Gilabert made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ruben Francis sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Puelo AFC's goalkeeper Donato Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Mambru. Puelo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruben Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Leopoldo Valery kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Barreal's goalkeeper Nemesio Porfirio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Fortun. Alvaro Fortuns short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Nemesio Porfirio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 77th minute Casimiro Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Favila in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Puelo AFC's Alvaro Fortun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nemesio Porfirio. Nemesio Porfirio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Ruben Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Gilabert having to interfere. Casimiro Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Donato Gilabert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barreal had played much better football throughout.
