After 2 played minutes Mascasín got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Poz. Leonides Gonchan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Reyes having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Mascasín's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Gonchan came free, but Ismael Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismael Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Gonchan, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Aldo Ulizes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Leonides Gonchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virgilio Jenaro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Atilano Bertran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Joanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, carp's Marcial Joanes got control of the ball when Genaro Eufrasio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santos Sotero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Sotero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ismael Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mascasín's zone, Santos Sotero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Reyes came out of the goal and Santos Sotero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Mascasín getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Israel Ledesma hit a great ball. Ismael Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Gonchan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Sotero got free with Ismael Reyes in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
