The supporters of Chacarita Juniors booed when Mascasín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Cordera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmar Goren got his second yellow card in the match during the 17th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Mascasín getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ruben Beltran hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Juniors's zone, Genaro Eufrasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Xacintu came out of the goal and Genaro Eufrasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Genaro Eufrasio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mascasín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Eufrasio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lázaro Calixto fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacarita Juniors's protests and gave Lázaro Calixto a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Chacarita Juniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mascasín:s goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Genaro Eufrasio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mascasín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Eufrasio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amancio Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Reyes having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Amancio Leoiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amancio Leoiar was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Mascasín's Nereo Iago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damaso Xacintu. Damaso Xacintu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Lázaro Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Leoiar in the 67th minute of play. Genaro Eufrasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Damaso Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Rayman charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Rayman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Leoiar in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Reyes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Genaro Eufrasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Damaso Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amancio Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Leoiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Leoiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Atilano Bertran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Xacintu having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Nereo Iago made a precise shot to the right of Damaso Xacintu. Chacarita Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Genaro Eufrasio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damaso Xacintu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Mascasín players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
