Nicanor Abar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Selmo in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Lapurdi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Freddy Hechter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ibáñez's zone, Freddy Hechter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Gau came out of the goal and Freddy Hechter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Enzo Pelagius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibáñez's Julian Gau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Volcán's Ildefonso Lapurdi got control of the ball when Eloy Cordaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ildefonso Lapurdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Selmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Eloy Cordaro made a precise shot to the right of Ildefonso Lapurdi. Volcán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Enzo Pelagius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ibáñez supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ibáñez would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
