The audience was convinced that Felix Bermudo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Cordaryal was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Sebastian Ignatius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Nesto in the 20th minute of the match. If Teodoro Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 minutes Sacachispas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hernan Eate who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Gimnasia Esgrima La Plata's Hernan Eate to fire away a dangerous shot which Segundo Cordaryal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Teodoro Nesto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 56th playminute. When Sacachispas's Marco Constancio in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gimnasia Esgrima La Plata's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastian Ignatius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Nesto in the 89th minute. Teodoro Nesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Ignatius having to interfere.
