Capivara AFC's Javier Honrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Capivara AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Gonsalve in the 33rd minute of play forced Gusanos FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Pueblo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Jordy struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Javier Honrio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gusanos FC. Capivara AFC's Rigoberto Urdaspal got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardino Gonsalve to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gusanos FC's zone, Rigoberto Urdaspal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Pueblo came out of the goal and Rigoberto Urdaspal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardino Gonsalve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Pueblo having to interfere. If Justino Jordy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Cristo Arixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gusanos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristo Arixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Honrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Jordy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Maximiliano Ricart fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capivara AFC's protests and gave Maximiliano Ricart a yellow card for diving instead. Maximiliano Ricart hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Generoso Selmo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 70th minute, when Capivara AFC's Ramon Berriotxoa after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Gabriel Pueblo in Gusanos FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. If Justino Jordy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
