Rigoberto Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Lizer having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Jonatan Nofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Honrio made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Jonatan Nofre sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Capivara AFC's Javier Honrio got control of the ball when Jonatan Nofre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geronimo Lizer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Gonsalve in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Filomeno Elazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardino Gonsalve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Geronimo Lizer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Real Verna F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Gonsalve came free, but Geronimo Lizer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Ihazintu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Bernardino Gonsalve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Lizer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Quirce received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Javier Honrio came out and tried to block the shot, but Donato Quirce slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filomeno Elazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geronimo Lizer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Urdaspal in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Capivara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Nofre came free, but Javier Honrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Bernardino Gonsalve recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geronimo Lizer. Bernardino Gonsalve showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Bernardino Gonsalve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 73 minutes on the clock, Ramon Berriotxoa commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Capivara AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Verna F.C:s goal. Adrian Quintyn placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The supporters of Real Verna F.C booed when Capivara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball.
