Ildefonso Isusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Gar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Chilca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Etor to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Silban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ildefonso Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Urritz got free with Jairo Silban in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Angelo Etor fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chilca's protests and gave Angelo Etor a yellow card for diving instead. Ildefonso Isusko came out of the goal and Fidel Gar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chilca eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
