But to his dismay, Emanuel Edwardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Dorrego's goalkeeper Jacobo Remicio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Santiago. After a rather tough play, Dorrego's Paolo Galeno got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Godfredo Santiago made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Remicio. Dorrego's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Ghostblood's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Omero came free, but Carmelo Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmelo Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Edwardo in the 27th minute of play. Ghostblood were furious when Aaron Orti was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Aaron Orti hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Carmelo Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Omero, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Dorrego's Jacobo Remicio got control of the ball when Godfredo Santiago tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carmelo Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Edwardo in the 46th minute of play. When Carlos Cayo fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghostblood's protests and gave Carlos Cayo a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Ghostblood got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Cayo.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Edwardo made a kick off. In the 57th minute Inocencio Ceandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Remicio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dorrego getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. German Lobo hit a great ball. Timoteo Platon hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Timoteo Platon charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timoteo Platon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacobo Remicio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Santiago in the 69th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Godfredo Santiago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Remicio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Godfredo Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ghostblood's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Remicio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Dorrego defense, Venancio Santiago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Remicio. The Dorrego fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Remicio should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Emanuel Edwardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dorrego fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Dorrego's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
