After a defensive mix-up in Ghostblood's zone, Arnoldo Sanson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Jax came out of the goal and Arnoldo Sanson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ghostblood's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Sanson came free, but Carmelo Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleto Tono took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carmelo Jax. Carmelo Jax dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hernan Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ghostblood defense, Javier Tonete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmelo Jax. The Ghostblood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmelo Jax should have stopped the shot. Ovidio Reynardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ghostblood getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Timoteo Platon hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ghostblood's Venancio Santiago got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute of the match Paulo Abajas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carmelo Jax skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Carlos Cayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Venancio Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Sanson got free with Carmelo Jax in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ghostblood's Carmelo Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Tonete in the 67th minute of play. Godfredo Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Javier Tonete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saldungaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Tonete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godfredo Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Frechoso having to interfere. Javier Tonete received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carmelo Jax came out and tried to block the shot, but Javier Tonete slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 78th minute. Carmelo Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Tonete in the 83rd minute of play. Arnoldo Sanson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Carmelo Jax made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Arnoldo Sanson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saldungaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Sanson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Jax breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfredo Santiago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Frechoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Saldungaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Tono to maneuver through the defense. Benito Guillen's late challenge caught a Ghostblood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Guillen helped the player get up and apologised. Saldungaray's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
