Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eliseo Iliana got the match started through his kick off. Ezequiel Iratxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Iliana in the 3rd minute of the match. Norberto Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Iratxo having to interfere. Ezequiel Iratxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Argi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Norberto Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ezequiel Iratxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Florentino Argi fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripamonti's protests and gave Florentino Argi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Corrales booed when Ripamonti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Argi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Joseph received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hilario Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ripamonti's zone, Santos Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Estebano came out of the goal and Santos Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Fulgencio Joseph managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corrales's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Joseph was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Estebano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ripamonti's Eustaquio Bastian got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Fulgencio Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florentino Argi was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Fulgencio Joseph received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hilario Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Santos Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corrales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Xabat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
A collision led to Ripamonti getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Melquiades Celipe hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Santos Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corrales's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Xabat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Estebano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ripamonti's Hilario Estebano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Joseph in the 59th minute of play. Hilario Estebano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Joseph, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corrales's Santos Xabat got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eustaquio Bastian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Generoso Senio fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corrales's protests and gave Generoso Senio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Generoso Senio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Xabat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Corrales's Santos Xabat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Estebano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fulgencio Joseph might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilario Estebano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fulgencio Joseph ran back to his position shaking his head. Fulgencio Joseph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Estebano having to interfere. Corrales's Ezequiel Iratxo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Corrales from getting a goal against them. Severino Lleir took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hilario Estebano. Ripamonti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
