Benicio Leheren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Ponce having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Patricio Bertran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernan Vachon was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Ciriaco Urritz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florentino Gonsalve saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Aive's Patricio Bertran got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Bonifacio Abadie fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aquilesbeta's protests and gave Bonifacio Abadie a yellow card for diving instead. Bonifacio Abadie hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Bernardino Heli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florentino Gonsalve skillfully saved the ball. Aive's Severo Loramendi got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score was now 0-1. 89 minutes into the match, Aive's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Leheren came free, but Santos Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Roberto Roland fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
