Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5451, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Saverio Rios took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute of the match Fabian Chus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anibal Vincente skillfully saved the ball. In the 3rd match minute, Hoy Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Bernad to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Malvinas FC booed when Hoy Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saverio Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Lucio Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Abel Batista, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Anibal Vincente was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marcial Hug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Anibal Vincente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Hug's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Vincente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ricardo Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lucio Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Malvinas FC defense, Saverio Rios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Grabiel. The Malvinas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Grabiel should have stopped the shot. Ricardo Bermudez took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucio Grabiel. Lucio Grabiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, Hoy Fútbol Club's Saverio Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucio Grabiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38thth minute of the game Alfredo Moreno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malvinas FC's Lucio Grabiel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Saverio Rios came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Hoy Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saverio Rios couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Ricardo Bermudez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Lucio Grabiel made a huge save. Lucio Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Rios in the 58th minute of play. Lucio Grabiel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Bermudez in the 64th minute. If Saverio Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Grabiel made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ricardo Bermudez sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Rios in the 70th minute of play forced Malvinas FC's goalkeeper Lucio Grabiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saverio Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Grabiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Marcial Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malvinas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Hug was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Vincente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucio Grabiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saverio Rios in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucio Grabiel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Bermudez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Lucio Grabiel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lucio Grabiel was a little too slow when Saverio Rios got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-4. 99 minutes into the match, Malvinas FC's goalkeeper Lucio Grabiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Bermudez. The Hoy Fútbol Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hoy Fútbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
