The audience was convinced that Celestino Niva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Vincente was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Leandro Franco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anibal Vincente. Hoy Fútbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Fulgencio Txomin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoy Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Txomin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ernesto Oier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Real Favaloro's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Rios came free, but Hector Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Rios charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saverio Rios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hoy Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Saverio Rios hit a great ball. The long shot by Simon Txatxu in the 39th minute really tested Anibal Vincente's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Celestino Niva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anibal Vincente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celestino Niva's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Octavio Sidoro struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Anibal Vincente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Favaloro. Hector Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Rios in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Celestino Niva made the kick off in the second half. When Real Favaloro's Celestino Niva in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celestino Niva in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anibal Vincente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saverio Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Paulin having to interfere. In the 67th minute of the match, Fulgencio Txomin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hector Paulin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hector Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hoy Fútbol Club's zone, Celestino Niva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Vincente came out of the goal and Celestino Niva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Alfredo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoy Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Saverio Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Feliciano Ladio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Arnulfo Lartaun in the 78th minute really tested Hector Paulin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 79 played minutes Real Favaloro got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Baraquiel. Arnulfo Lartaun made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Favaloro's Marcos Padro. Celestino Niva might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anibal Vincente. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Niva ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Oier during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Favaloro's Ernesto Oier got a free kick in the 88th minute. Saverio Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hoy Fútbol Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
